Here you also can see the video for bump and hear the music track.

I just had too ask the girls if it was true that they manage too get a klausul into the contract, about people wouldnt get sued for downloading any off their  music:

Samanda answer this:

Hahaha – yeah, it’s true… but not because we were powerful or anything like that….. hahahaha…. It was me…. I have a friend of my sister who was one of those people who got sued a while back when all the record companies were suing anybody who downloaded music.  We’ll she was too young back then, so they sued her parents.   it was like musical gihad for them…  everybody was traumatized and I know she’s even afraid to buy stuff on i-tunes to this day …  Anyhow when the record company people wanted to talk to us I just told them what was on my mind about it… and they said…. OK…. we won’t sue anybody.

And then the contract thing… we’ll I was only 14 then… and now I’m over 15, but back then I really didn’t know anything so when some guy said he wanted to sign us to a record company I went home and told my mother and she said to stay away from the guy because he was probably a pervert.  hahahaha…. so we threw away his phone number and that was the end of it…. until he tracked us down again like a stalker…. LOL… well it turned out to be Stephen Stone, who was originally with Ruffhouse/Sony and worked on Lauryn Hill and all that… LOL…. so he was for real…. but then when he handed us a contract that was the size of my biology book I was shocked…. well, we didn’t have much money and my parents took the contract to a lawyer and he said that it was going to take over $10,000 for him to go through it all….. and we couldn’t afford it…. so I told Stephen about it and he said OK…. and the next thing I knew it was condensed down to two pages!!!!  So we signed it… and here we are today!!!!  Oh yeah, and we made them put the thing in there about not suing for fileshareing.  That was the only big revision we did on it.

Now things have been going great, and we’re having a blast, our sales numbers are getting good enough that the people at Universal said we might actually hit the charts…. so we’re freaking out about that.

And yeah, with the marketing thing… we tried to think of all the things that the record companies do bad…. and trust me, we had a long list….. and that’s how we came up with our marketing plan.  We do the opposite of whatever they do.  Like for example with the DJ’s… if a DJ gets your vocal tracks and makes a remix, the next thing you know he’s getting the crap stomped out of him by some record company lawyer…. We figured, for God’s sake, just let the poor guy do whatever he wants… after all, he deserves a break just like anybody else if he makes a good mix…. and if he makes a bad mix, what’s the big deal… nobody’s going to listen to it, so what’s it going to hurt…. and even if he sells it, all it does is help us get known better.   I think the record companies would rather pay some stuffy old promo guy who couldn’t care less about the singers…. rather than let a couple DJ’s catch a break and get a couple bucks for making a nice mix.    So we let lots of people remix us.  I think it’s the way God intended it to be.  We get all the different remixes and then we go into the studio and take a little from this remix from the UK and a little from that remix from Italy…. and then we remix the remixes to give them one uniform ABM sound…. and put them out…

Actually what we’ve been doing is letting them remix us and then we find all the really good mixes and we get Universal to license them – and we split everything with them equally.  That’s why we have so many remixes for every song we release.  Stephen Stone said that we’ve signed more licenses to our project than any group in history!!!!  hahahah…. so if we never hit the charts, at least we’re making history somehow!!!

I don’t know if it’s the way things are usually done…. but I do know that when we tell some DJ’s that we’re going to get their remix licensed on Universal they practically break down crying from happiness….
